Meet Anne Hathaway's 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' love interest
NEW YORK – Patrick Brammall's first day on set for "The Devil Wears Prada 2" is one he probably won't forget. On Aug. 5, 2025 the actor was filming scenes with Anne Hathaway in Brooklyn, New York. Paparazzi snapped photos of the duo during and between takes.
"That was a bit mental," Brammall, 50, recalled to USA TODAY at the movie's world premiere on Monday night. The Australian-born actor estimates that there were about 300 onlookers. "And then I got home and friends started sending me photos and videos of that moment. And I was like, 'Well, this is quite surreal. I think I might be in an iconic movie.'"

Patrick Brammall to Walk Red Carpet at ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Sydney Premiere
The local star of the upcoming sequel “The Devil Wears Prada 2”, Patrick Brammall, has been confirmed to be in attendance at the upcoming red carpet gala Australia premiere, which will take place at Sydney’s State Theatre on Tuesday, April 28. Brammall, whose casting was announced last year, plays the love interest of Anne Hathaway’s Andy Sachs.
Brammall’s role in “The Devil Wears Prada 2” is his first big-screen part since the 2018 action-horror film “Overlord,” with the AACTA and Logie-winning Australian star filling his resume with small-screen projects ever since, including the award-winning comedy “Colin From Accounts”.
In the first “The Devil Wears Prada” film, Hathway’s main character was all eyes for Adrian Greener (“Entourage”) — but Greener is not returning for the sequel. Alongside Brammall, the newcomer cast includes “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’s” Rachel Bloom, plus Kenneth Branagh, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Pauline Chalamet, Helen J. Shen, Conrad Ricamora, Caleb Hearon and a cameo from Lady Gaga. Tracie Thoms and Tibor Feldman are among the actors returning from the initial film. A number of cameos were cut, including “Euphoria” star Sydney Sweeney.
