DALLAS – Memphis rapper Pooh Shiesty will appear in federal court in Dallas on Wednesday. The hearing will determine whether he will be released from federal custody following last week’s kidnapping and robbery arrest.
Lontrell Williams Jr., whose rap name is Pooh Shiesty, his father Lontrell Williams Sr., rapper BIG30, and six defendants were all charged with kidnapping and robbery in connection with an incident that happened back in January at a Dallas recording studio.
Memphis rapper Big30 gets $100K bond in Gucci Mane kidnapping case
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – Memphis rapper Big30 was given bail with some restrictions on Monday.
Big30, whose real name is Rodney Wright Jr., was granted a $100,000 secured bond. According to the judge the bond has to be secured by a $10,000 payment for Big30 to be released.
Conditions of his bond include location monitoring, no contact with victims or co-defendants, supervision and drug testing.
Monday, Big30, along with some of the other defendants in the case surrounding the alleged kidnapping and robbery of rapper Gucci Mane, were in a federal courtroom in Memphis for a detention hearing.
Big30 was the first up for his hearing. He had dozens of people in the courtroom supporting him. There were family and friends sitting and standing in the courtroom who raised their hands when Big30’s attorney asked how many people were there to support his client.
