330 new jobs for Dublin as West Pharmaceuticals expands operations

West Pharamaceuticals has created 330 jobs as as part of the expansion of its manufacturing site at Damastown in Dublin.
The 165,000 square foot expansion is designed to meet growing global demands of its customer base, as it produces containment and delivery solutions for injectable medicines that treat diseases including diabetes and obesity. West now employs over 1,400 people in Ireland across its Dublin and Waterford sites.
Speaking at the opening, Jack Chambers TD, Minister for Public Expenditure, Infrastructure, Public Service Reform and Digitalisation, said: "This announcement by West is an extremely welcome development for the local community, and also for our vibrant national life sciences sector."
