Spurs rule out Victor Wembanyama (ankle) against Clippers
LOS ANGELES — San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama will sit out Thursday night's matchup against the LA Clippers due to right ankle injury management.
The clash against the Clippers falls on the second night of a back-to-back for San Antonio, which beat the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco on Wednesday. The Frenchman racked up 41 points and 18 rebounds in 29 minutes during that game.
Earlier Thursday, the 22-year-old Wembanyama was named the Western Conference Defensive Player of the Month for March, the third consecutive month he's won that award.
