Lions sign unrestricted free agent OL Ben Bartch
Allen Park, Mich. – The Detroit Lions announced today that they have signed unrestricted free agent OL Ben Bartch. Contract terms were not disclosed.
Bartch comes to Detroit in his seventh NFL season after splitting his career with the San Francisco 49ers (2023-25) and Jacksonville Jaguars (2020-23). He originally entered the NFL with the Jaguars as a fourth-round selection (116th overall) out of St. John's (Minn.) in the 2020 NFL Draft. Bartch has appeared in 55-career games (24 starts).

49ers starting offensive lineman signing with NFC North team
The San Francisco 49ers entered the offseason with their top two left guards, Spencer Burford and Ben Bartch, hitting free agency, and after the former signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, that just left the latter on the market.
However, on Wednesday, Bartch found a new home, as the San Francisco Chronicle's Eric Branch reported that the offensive lineman is signing with the the Detroit Lions for 2026.
