Trevor Siemian to sign with Falcons
Agent Blake Baratz told Jeremy Fowler of ESPN that his client Trevor Siemian has agreed to a contract with Atlanta. He will join Michael Penix and Tua Tagovailoa in the team's quarterback room.
Siemian spent the last two seasons with the Titans and did not appear in any games while spending most of his time on the practice squad. He appeared in five games and made three starts for the Jets in 2023 and has also started games for the Bears, Saints and Broncos since entering the league as a 2015 seventh-round pick in Denver.
Penix is recovering from a torn ACL, which will limit his workload for some time and should leave a good number of reps for Siemian to handle once the Falcons get back on the field in the coming weeks.

The Atlanta Falcons are signing quarterback Trevor Siemian, according to a report from ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. Siemian, 34, is a veteran backup who can provide depth while Michael Penix Jr. recovers from his ACL injury.
The former seventh-round pick has appeared in 40 games (33 starts) since entering the league with the Denver Broncos in 2015. Siemian has passed for 7,751 yards, 44 touchdowns and 32 interceptions over seven seasons.
"Free agent quarterback Trevor Siemian is signing with the Falcons, agent Blake Baratz of TeamIFA tells ESPN," wrote Fowler. "Veteran QB adds to Atlanta’s depth."
Siemian spent last season on the Tennessee Titans practice squad. He has also played for the New York Jets, New Orleans Saints and Chicago Bears.

Falcons Signing QB Trevor Siemian
ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reports the Falcons are signing QB Trevor Siemian to a contract.
Siemian, 34, is a former seventh-round pick of the Broncos back in 2015 out of Northwestern. Denver traded him to the Vikings in 2018 for a fifth-round pick.
Siemian played out the final year of his four-year, $2.33 million contract before agreeing to a one-year contract with the Jets worth $2 million.
He was later brought in by the Titans in 2020 to compete for the backup quarterback job, but was eventually waived and added to the team’s practice squad. From there, Sieman had stints with the Saints, Bears, and Bengals before joining the Jets last September.
