Djo's Portland Performance At Thompsons Point Promises A Night Of Dreamy Indie Sounds
I’m honestly so hyped for this, Djo is coming to Portland on July 21, and it’s at Thompson’s Point, which is basically the perfect summer concert setup. Tickets go on general sale Friday, March 20 at 12pm, and I already know they’re going to go fast.
Djo (aka Joe Keery from Stranger Things, but also very much his own thing musically) has built a huge following over the past few years. His sound is super vibey, kind of psychedelic indie with synth-heavy, dreamy energy. Songs like “End of Beginning” blew up recently, so it feels like he’s hitting this peak where a lot of people are just discovering him, but longtime fans already know how good his stuff is live.
Djo Will Supplement His Tour With Tame Impala With Some Headlining Dates Of His Own
Joe Keery (Djo) is set to be part of two fantastic tours this year. Last month, Tame Impala announced a tour with support from Djo and Dominic Fike. Now, today (March 17), Djo has announced a tour of his own (perhaps not coincidentally, featuring support from Tame Impala associates Pond).
The headline shows will be sprinkled throughout Djo’s run with Tame Impala and will include stops in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Forest Hills, New York; Portland, Maine; Lewiston, New York; and Richmond, Virginia. For tickets, there’s an artist pre-sale starting March 18 at noon local time, followed by the general on-sale beginning March 20 at noon local time. More information can be found on Djo’s website.
