Warriors' Stephen Curry out 10 more days with knee issue
The Golden State Warriors have ruled out star guard Stephen Curry for another 10 days with a persistent right knee issue, the team announced Wednesday.
This will stretch Curry's absence at least another five games. He has missed the previous 15 consecutive games for what the team is calling patellofemoral pain syndrome, also known as "runner's knee," which typically consists of swelling and pain around the kneecap.
Curry has advanced to court work in recent days, which is a significant step in his attempted return. Team sources have continued to describe Curry as extremely motivated to return for the stretch run and try to work the wobbling Warriors into the playoffs through the play-in bracket. He will intensify court work in the coming days.
Steve Kerr reveals Steph Curry's ‘frustrated' mindset amid knee injury absence
It has been 40 long days since Warriors star Steph Curry stepped foot on an NBA floor for a regular-season game.
It ll be at least another 10 days until Curry — who's dealing with patellofemoral pain syndrome, also known as runner's knee — laces his shoes up for another game, and Warriors coach Steve Kerr says the 12-time NBA All-Star is feeling some type of way.
“He’s frustrated,” Kerr told 95.7 The Game’s "Willard & Dibs" on Wednesday. “He wants to be out there for his guys. It’s obviously been an injury that’s lasted a lot longer than anyone thought it would. He’s dying to be out there, but there’s not a whole lot that goes into it.

Warriors Notes: Steph, Moody, Cryer, Draymond
In a radio appearance on 95.7 FM’s Willard and Dibs show on Wednesday, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr provided an injury update on Stephen Curry, who will miss at least five more games due to his ongoing right knee issue.
Kerr said Curry is “frustrated” and “dying to be out there,” but has not yet practiced, as Nick Avila of NBC Sports Bay Area relays.
“He’s getting shots up, but he’s not in a place yet where we’re saying he’s going to be practicing anytime in the next few days,” Kerr said. “It’s pretty methodical. As you guys know, (Warriors director of sports medicine and performance) Rick (Celebrini) is as good as they come and he’s going to be very cautious and make sure Steph gets the right build up and we go from there.”
