Cowboys, Otito Ogbonnia agree to terms on one-year deal
FRISCO, Texas – The Cowboys are continuing to add on the defensive side of the ball in free agency, agreeing to terms on a one-year deal with former Chargers DT Otito Ogbonnia.
Ogbonnia, 25, was a fifth-round selection by the Chargers in the 2022 NFL Draft. Over the first four years of his NFL career, Ogbonnia has played in 41 games for Los Angeles, starting in 20.
In 2025, Ogbonnia played in nine games for the Chargers and posted 10 tackles, three tackles for loss and half a sack. Ogbonnia suffered an elbow injury after Los Angeles' Week 7 matchup against the Colts and was placed on injured reserve, returning in Week 14 against the Eagles.

Ogbonnia joins defensive lineman Rashan Gary as a part of the Cowboys efforts to bolster the unit. With this signing, Dallas is now stacked on the interior with Quinnen Williams, Kenny Clark, Osa Odighizuwa and Solomon Thomas.

Shortly after agreeing to terms with former Denver safety P.J. Locke, the Cowboys also agreed to a deal with ex-Chargers nose tackle Otito Ogbonnia, a person familiar with the move confirmed to The Dallas Morning News.
Ogbonnia, a 25-year-old from Katy, played in 42 games (20 starts) in four seasons with Los Angeles. He was a fifth-round draft pick in 2022 out of UCLA.
