Oliynykova and Kalinina advance to Antalya WTA 125 semifinals
Ukrainian tennis players Oleksandra Oliynykova and Angelina Kalinina advanced to the semifinals of the WTA 125 tournament in Antalya with a prize fund of $115,000.
In the quarterfinals Oliynykova (No. 73 in the world rankings) defeated Spanish opponent Guiomar Maristán Suleta de Reales (171) – 1-6, 6-0, 7-5.
The match lasted almost two and a half hours. In the semifinals Oliynykova will face the Japanese No. 3 seed Moya Uchidzima (77).
Kalinina (189) also after 2.5 hours in two sets defeated the world No. 95 Panna Udvardy of Hungary – 7-6(7-3), 7-5.
In the semifinal Angelina will face the winner of the clash between Katarzyna Kawa (Poland, 146) and Tamara Zidanšek (Slovenia, 148).
Kalinina advances to second round in Antalya after three-set win
Ukrainian tennis player Anhelina Kalinina advanced to the second round of the WTA 125 tournament in Antalya, Turkey, where the prize money is $115,000.
Kalinina, who is ranked 189th in the world, defeated Ekaterine Gorgodze of Georgia (ranked 158) in three sets, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3. The match lasted 2 hours and 35 minutes.
In the next round, Kalinina will face the winner of the match between Dominika Salková of the Czech Republic (ranked 131) and Elina Avanesyan of Armenia (ranked 328).

Angelina Kalinina failed to win the title at the WTA 125 tournament in Antalya, which had a prize fund of $115,000.
In the final, the Ukrainian, ranked No. 202 in the world, was defeated by the Japanese player Moyutsi Uchidzimi, who is currently ranked No. 104, with a score of 5-7, 5-7. The match lasted exactly two hours.
This was Kalinina’s third final at WTA 125 tournaments, where she was vying for her third title.
For her performance in Antalya, the Ukrainian will receive $8,400 in prize money and 81 ranking points, which will allow her to return to the world’s Top 200 ranking.
