Steph Curry’s injury absence has sparked plenty of debate about whether the Warriors should simply shut their star down for the rest of the season.
Speaking on a recent episode of "The Draymond Green Show," the Warriors forward pushed back on the idea that Curry would sit out the remainder of the season if he’s physically able to return.

"Shutting Steph down for the rest of the year is not something that is just going to happen barring that he can play," Green said.
Warriors' Stephen Curry (knee) out at least five more games
SAN FRANCISCO — Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry will sit out at least five more games because of his persistent right knee issue, the team said Sunday.
The Warriors will reevaluate Curry in 10 days, meaning he will be absent for their upcoming games against the Clippers, Rockets, Thunder, Jazz and Bulls. Curry has sat out the previous 10 games, with the Warriors going 4-6 without him.
"This is a weird one," Curry told ESPN's Malika Andrews during an in-game interview Saturday. "It's kind of unpredictable how it'll heal."
The team has listed Curry's injury as patellofemoral pain syndrome, also known as "runner's knee," which typically consists of swelling and pain around the kneecap.

Stephen Curry has been sidelined since January 30 with a lingering right knee injury, leading to some outside speculation whether the 37-year-old star should be shut down for the rest of the season. Warriors teammate Draymond Green addressed that topic on his latest podcast and determined that it’s unlikely to happen, relays Eden Collier of NBC Sports Bay Area.
“He was preparing to come back in the season where we had won 15 games (in 2019/20),” Green said. “So I say that from experience when I say, he’s not just going to shut it down just to shut it down. It’s not who he is.”
