Jets Deal Tanner Pearson For Late Round Pick
The Winnipeg Jets have traded veteran winger Tanner Pearson to the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for a seventh-round draft pick, according to Winnipeg Free Press writer Ken Wiebe.
Pearson, 32, has provided depth scoring and experience for Winnipeg this season. This season, the Kitchener native has recorded eight goals and ten assists for 18 points in 52 games, contributing primarily in a bottom-six role. The Jets added Pearson this past offseason on a one-year, $1 million deal.
Over the course of his NHL career, Pearson has played for several teams including the Kings, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Vancouver Canucks, the Montreal Canadiens, and most recently the Jets. Across 774 career NHL games, he has recorded 157 goals and 168 assists for 325 points, establishing himself as a reliable secondary scoring option for a majority of his career.

The veteran forward helped the Kings win the Stanley Cup in 2014, as he recorded 4 goals and 8 assists for 12 points in 24 playoff games.
