Arkansas basketball hosts Missouri with shortened rotation in game with NCAA Tournament implications
FAYETTEVILLE — The Arkansas men’s basketball team’s depth has been put to the test in recent games.
In the Razorbacks’ two-game road swing against Mississippi State and LSU, they were without Karter Knox and D.J. Wagner, who missed the contests with knee and ankle injuries, respectively. Both returned against Auburn, but Knox tweaked his knee again after playing six minutes.
He has since had surgery to repair his left meniscus and is out indefinitely.
Arkansas was then without Knox and Isaiah Sealy, who suffered a hip injury, against Alabama. And then the foul trouble came.
In a double-overtime 117-115 loss, the Razorbacks had four players foul out, and coach John Calipari did not like the calls. By the final minutes of the second extra period, Jaden Karuletwa and Elmir Dzafic — who had played a combined 10 minutes in SEC play — were on the floor for Arkansas.
