American freestyle skier Jaelin Kauf picked up her second medal of the 2026 Milan Cortina Games, earning a silver medal in the first-ever women’s dual moguls final on Saturday.

Kauf, a 29-year-old Colorado native, raced against 2022 individual Olympic champion Jakara Anthony of Australia in the final. She finished with a score of 15, settling for silver behind Anthony’s 20.

The story behind Olympic champion Liz Lemley: ‘We started a little after birth — 6 months old,’ her dad said

On Opening Day at Steamboat Springs two decades ago, Liz Lemley spent the morning on the ski slope. Later that afternoon, the 9-month old learned to walk.

“The thing that is unique and really far and away different and responsible for her great success is starting out at a very, very early age,” her dad, Wayne Lemley, said in a phone call with the Vail Daily on Thursday. “We started at a little bit after birth — six months old.”

It’s fitting that after Liz Lemley won Olympic gold in the women’s individual mogul competition on Wednesday in Italy, the conversation Wayne had with his daughter centered around the athlete’s intentionally charted pathway.

Winter Olympics live updates: US skiers earn two medals in dual moguls

MILAN — It's Saturday, Feb. 14, at the 2026 Winter Olympics and we're underway on Valentine's Day at the Milano Cortina Games.

Friday's action was defined by one of the most stunning moments of these Games: Ilia Malinin's meltdown in the free skate of the men's singles competition. Will Saturday bring that level of drama?

There's plenty of action on tap, including the return to the ice of the U.S. men's hockey team.

Getting things started, American women won a pair of medals in freestyle skiing as Jaelin Kauf and Elizabeth Lemley scored silver and bronze in the dual moguls competition.
