‘Rowdy’ will turn 41-years-old in May and hasn’t won at the highest level since Gateway in June 2023. That’s a 92-race winless streak for those counting. On one hand, it’s hard to find someone that believes Busch was the reason for the Richard Childress Racing No. 8 struggling over the past two years but teammate Austin Dillon does have two Richmond wins during that span.
Kyle Busch Talks 2026 Season, His Future in NASCAR
The 2026 NASCAR Cup Series season will be the 22nd full-time campaign for Kyle Busch. With 63 career Cup victories and two championships, the driver of the #8 has already accomplished just about everything in the sport.
However, the 40-year-old hasn’t won a Cup race since June 2023 and missed the playoffs the last two seasons. On top of that, Busch is in a contract year in 2026 as he isn’t guaranteed to return to Richard Childress Racing after this season.
