So it's another fourth place for Great Britain. They'll have to wait until Wednesday for their next shot at a medal.
But fear not! It's been an exciting day four in Milan-Cortina and there's still plenty more to come.
Bruce Mouat speaking about the pair's performances this week: "It is rough. We played so much better than we did four years ago, but to leave with the same result is going to hurt for a bit, but both of us are pretty resilient people.
Breezy Johnson, Mikaela Shiffrin fail to medal in combined event, but U.S. still wins bronze
MILAN — Mikaela Shiffrin will next hit the slopes still empty-handed after her first event at the Milan Cortina games.
Racing with Breezy Johnson in the Alpine skiing women’s team combined event, Shiffrin uncharacteristically struggled in the slalom portion, placing 15th out of 18 racers who finished the course. Despite Johnson finishing first in the downhill portion of the race, Shiffrin’s run dropped the duo’s combined time to fourth place — and they missed the podium by .06 seconds.
Shiffrin, 30, was racing for the first time in the Olympics on Tuesday. She has been a historically great competitor in the slalom event. In the Alpine Ski World Cup, 71 of Shiffrin’s record 108 victories have come in slalom. She has finished first overall in slalom in three of the last four World Cups.

Austria wins Olympic team combined, U.S. still takes bronze
CORTINA D'AMPEZZO, Italy — Ariane Raedler and Katharina Huber of Austria won gold in the new team combined event at the Milan Cortina Olympics on Tuesday when Mikaela Shiffrin surprisingly crossed fourth after wasting a first-run lead by teammate Breezy Johnson.
Shiffrin, the most successful World Cup racer of all time with a record 108 victories — 71 of them in slalom, also a record — has now gone seven straight Olympic races without a medal.
After taking two golds and silver from her first two Olympics, Shiffrin also didn't win a medal in any of her six races at the Beijing Games four years ago.
