Bruins at Rangers preview: A matchup of teams trending in opposite directions
After a pair of wins at home over Vegas and Montreal, the Bruins are in New York to take on the Rangers.
The two wins were both by a 4-3 score, but had a very different look to them. Thursday’s win over the Golden Knights saw the Bruins jump out to a 4-0 lead, and then hold off a furious third-period rally for the win.
Against the Canadiens, the Bruins overcame three one-goal deficits to prevail thanks to a pair of Morgan Geekie power play goals.
“We’ve played some good teams over the last little while but we didn’t come out very strong today,†Geekie said. “But to be able to come back in the third and put together a solid performance and at the end of the day get the two points, that’s all that matters.â€
