Star of beloved football film hospitalized after collapsing at home
ATLANTA, Georgia —Quinton Aaron, who portrayed former NFL star Michael Oher in the hit film “The Blind Side,” currently is in a hospital after collapsing at his home.
TMZ reports Aaron, 40, was walking up the stairs of his apartment last week when his legs “suddenly stopped functioning.” Aaron’s manager tells TMZ that the actor is in stable condition.
Doctors reportedly are conducting tests to determine what caused Aaron’s legs to stop working. Us Weekly reports Aaron was hospitalized last year with type A influenza and walking pneumonia.

Quinton Aaron, the towering actor who starred opposite Sandra Bullock in the inspirational sports biopic The Blind Side, is 'fighting for his life' after suffering a serious fall at his home.
Aaron, who revealed his stunning 200-pound weight loss last year, has reportedly been hospitalized for his injury and is now battling a 'severe blood infection,' according to a GoFundMe set up to raise donations to cover his medical bills and his family's expenses.
In a statement to the Daily Mail, Aaron's manager, Katrina Fristoe, said he is 'receiving excellent medical care' and is with family.
'The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of support from fans and the media but respectfully requests privacy during this time,' she said, adding that an update would be forthcoming when Aaron was in better condition.
