Minneapolis ICE shooting: Federal law enforcement involved in north Minneapolis incident, city says
MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) – A person from Venezuela was shot by federal officials in north Minneapolis Wednesday night. This comes exactly a week after an ICE officer fatally shot Renee Good.
The Department of Homeland Security, in a statement, said federal officers were conducting "a targeted traffic stop" around 6:50 p.m. Sources told FOX 9 the shooting happened in the 600 block of 24th Avenue North in Minneapolis, which is about 4.5 miles from where Renee Good was fatally shot on Jan. 7.
FOX News reporter Bill Melugin, citing law enforcement sources, says ICE was involved in the shooting. He is told ICE was making contact with a person who then allegedly assaulted an officer before being shot. Melguin says the person who was shot is stable and are now in custody.

The documents shed new light on Renee Good’s connection to efforts to monitor and potentially disrupt ICE operations – an association that federal officials have made clear is at the center of their review into the deadly incident that occurred as she partially blocked ICE agents in the street with her SUV.
But four legal experts who reviewed the documents for CNN said they largely describe nonviolent civil disobedience tactics practiced at American protests for generations – far from the sinister depiction of extremism and domestic terrorism portrayed by Trump administration officials like Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and Vice President JD Vance.
