ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — As the Buffalo Bills prepare to head to Denver for the divisional round of the AFC playoffs on a short week, the team has some positive direction on the injury front and some significant setbacks.

For the second straight year, wide receiver Gabe Davis suffered a major left knee injury, this time a torn ACL, coach Sean McDermott said Monday.

Davis returned to the Bills this season after he played 10 games with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2024 before suffering a torn meniscus in his left knee. He was able to return to the field with Buffalo in Week 11, playing in six regular-season games and Sunday's wild-card win at Jacksonville.

Bills announce WR Tyrell Shavers tore his ACL vs. Jaguars

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Tyrell Shavers tore his ACL during the team's Wild Card victory against the Jaguars and will miss the rest of the postseason, head coach Sean McDermott announced Tuesday.

Shavers suffered the knee injury during the Wild Card game but came back in and finished the game. He had one catch for 14 yards but still played over 50% of the team's snaps.

Monday, McDermott shared the team was still evaluating Shavers' injury. A day later, more tests revealed the torn ACL.

"Just amazing what he was able to do to come back in the game and play the way that he did," McDermott shared.

Bills vs. Broncos injury update: Buffalo veterans ruled out with leg injuries

The Buffalo Bills will play two games in seven days. The Denver Broncos will play for the second time in a 23-day span.

It's the advantage of achieving the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

Two Bills veterans were knocked out of their physical 27-24 victory over Jacksonville Jaguars in the wild-card round on Sunday. That doesn't include quarterback Josh Allen, who made two visits to the blue medical tent during the game but did not miss any action.

Denver traveled to Kansas City on Christmas night in Week 17 and had a mini-bye before hosting the Los Angeles Chargers to end the regular season on Jan. 4. They had a bye in the opening round of the playoffs.
