No. 1 UConn Travels to Butler Sunday
STORRS, Conn. – The top-ranked UConn women's basketball team (12-0, 3-0) is back in action at Butler (7-6, 1-2) Sunday at 4 p.m. in Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The game will air on TNT/truTV and the UConn Sports Network from Learfield (FOX Sports 97.9).
UConn has two Indiana natives on its roster: junior Ashlynn Shade (Noblesville) and redshirt sophomore Ayanna Patterson (Fort Wayne).
UConn beat No. 11 Iowa, 90-64, on Dec. 20 in the Women's Champions Classic at Barclays Center. Sophomore Sarah Strong scored 20 of her 23 points in the first half while graduate student Azzi Fudd scored 21 of her 27 points in the second half. Â The Huskies scored 41 points off 26 Hawkeye turnovers.
