Freeze Warning issued for portions of southeast Texas

HOUSTON — Due to an arriving cold front, a Freeze Warning has been issued for portions of southeast Texas from late Sunday night into Monday morning.
Morning temperatures on Monday could drop close to or below the freezing mark, raising concerns for sensitive plants, pets, and vulnerable people. While freezing temperatures will not last long, this would mark the first freeze of the season for many across the area.
The coldest of temperatures will be for areas mainly north of I-10. It is not out of the question that areas north of Conroe could fall into the 20s. Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation so is important to make those preparations ahead of Sunday night.
