ChatGPT-owner OpenAI will become the major customer of a $7 billion data centre to be built by NextDC that will be the biggest in the southern hemisphere.
The data centre will be used to run the artificial intelligence models, tasks and queries of a growing number of OpenAI’s Australian corporate clients, which include Commonwealth Bank, Wesfarmers, Fortescue, Canva, Atlassian and Virgin Australia.
