Jujutsu Kaisen Streamed Episodes to Switch to Blu-ray & DVD Versions on December 1st
Per a post from the official X (formerly Twitter) account for the Jujutsu Kaisen anime, the videos used for streaming service versions of Jujutsu Kaisen will be gradually replaced with the Blu-ray and DVD versions starting December 1st. This is being done in part as a commemoration of the broadcast of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3. There is no official schedule of when the changes will begin to take effect on a streaming service by streaming service basis. You can check out the original post below:
While anime Blu-ray releases typically have changes from the originally aired version of an anime such as reduced dimming, the removal of some censorship, and occasional clean up of scenes that were rushed or submitted in the production version of the title at less than 100%, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is notable for itâs more or less overhaul of some animation that was very critiqued at the time of release. Specifically, Season 2 Episode 17, the episode during which Sukuna faces off against Mahoraga, was generally seen as an incomplete episode. This came in part from viewer observations of incomplete-seeming animation sequences and in part due to tweets from an animator who worked on the episode and noted that it was only â30% of the intended visione [sic],â though this tweet was later deleted and the animator noted that they âshouldnâ t [sic] have used a numberâ due to it being over-indexed upon.
