The under-17 national coach, Nabil Baha, said on Tuesday in Doha that the Atlas Lion Cubs, who delivered an impressive performance against Mali, have the potential to go far in the World Cup for their age category.
«The players played good football and showed that they are confident and capable of achieving positive results in the upcoming matches», Baha told the press after Morocco’s 3–2 win over Mali, noting that «Mali was not an easy team, but we managed the game well».
«The first goal we scored helped us because it unsettled the opponent and allowed us to take control of the match», he explained, adding that the second goal at the end of the first half «was important for the players, who approached the second half with confidence and determination to widen the gap».
