Cornell University reaches $60 million deal with Trump administration to restore federal funding
The Trump administration has reached a multimillion dollar deal with Cornell University to restore more than $250 million in federal funding for the school.
Cornell is expected to pay the federal government $30 million over three years, according to the text of the agreement. The school is also expected to invest $30 million in âresearch programs that will directly benefit US farmers through lower costs of production and enhanced efficiency.â
Under the deal, which is effective Friday, the university has also agreed to provide the federal government with âanonymized undergraduate admissions data.â That data, the agreement says, will be âsubjected to a comprehensive audit by the United States.â
