Projected Lineup: November 6 vs. Minnesota

Canes to try and follow up Tuesday's shutout performance against the Rangers

RALEIGH, N.C. – Defenseman K'Andre Miller may return to the Carolina Hurricanes lineup on Thursday when the team hosts the Minnesota Wild.

Missing the last six games due to a lower-body injury, the newcomer was activated from injured reserve this morning, paving the way for him to return to game action for the first time since Oct. 20.

At Wednesday's practice, Miller was back alongside Jalen Chatfield, whom he worked with through the first few games of the season when the team had a fully healthy blue line. Joel Nystrom, who skated beside Chatfield in Miller's absence, was alongside Mike Reilly. Domenick Fensore and Charles Alexis Legault formed the final pairing, but Fensore was reassigned to Chicago (AHL) last night.

Game Preview: Wild versus Hurricanes

After a two-game road trip to the northeast, the Carolina Hurricanes are back at the Lenovo Center for home games versus Minnesota and Buffalo.

On Tuesday night, the Canes earned a great win over a struggling Rangers team. Nikolaj Ehlers netted his first goal as a Hurricane, and did so on the power play. Carolina dominated the second and third periods, limiting New York to just one shot in the final period.

Pyotr Kochetkov had a 26-save shutout in his season debut behind another game with a depleted Carolina defense.

The Canes now focus on the Minnesota Wild. The Wild were pegged as a bubble playoff team this season, but have struggled to start the season.

Wild's Daemon Hunt To Make Season Debut Tonight Vs Carolina

The Minnesota Wild (5-6-3) is on the road tonight to play the front half of a back-to-back before returning home for five more home games.

They will face the Carolina Hurricanes (8-4-0) tonight for a 6:00 p.m. game. There will be one change to tonight's lineup.

Defenseman Daemon Hunt will make his season debut. David Jiricek will come out of the lineup and Hunt will play on the right side.

Hunt, 23, was healthy scratched the first 14 games of the year but will get in tonight. He has played in 13 NHL games in his career and played in one game for the Wild last year before he was traded for Jiricek.
