McDonald’s MONOPOLY wraps up Sunday with prizes up to $1 million

WASHINGTON — Customers have just one day left to “peel and play” for the chance to win everything from free food to major prizes like $1 million in cash or a 2026 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, as McDonald’s MONOPOLY promotion wraps up Thursday, Nov. 2.

For the first time, the game featured both physical and digital game pieces, allowing fans to collect property pieces, enter bonus plays and track prizes using the McDonald’s app.

Customers who order select menu items in the app can earn digital pieces, while others can receive physical game pieces to peel from packaging and can scan in the app.

McDonald's is about to fold up its Monopoly game. Here's when it ends.

The fast-food giant brought back the Monopoly game on Oct. 6 after not offering it for a decade. McDonald's also made the McDonald's app an integral part of the game and added "digital game pieces" in addition to the classic game pieces provided in restaurants.

But the limited-time promotion is about to come to an end on Sunday, Nov. 2 (while game pieces last). There's still time to play by getting physical game pieces when you order specific food items or getting digital game pieces in the McDonald's app.

Here's what you need to know to participate in McDonald's Monopoly game before it ends.

Some McDonald's Monopoly players report shortage of property peels in final week

In the final week of McDonald’s Monopoly promotion, some customers are reporting difficulty getting their hands on the property cards.

Kylee Corcoran said she ordered a large soft drink over the weekend, but her cup had no piece.

“We went to check our Monopoly piece and there was nothing on it," Corcoran said.

On social media, dozens of comments from people across the country report the same issues.

In Naugatuck, Caitlyn Rhodes said she ordered a large Macchiato, which is listed on the website as being eligible for a physical game piece. She said she was handed a cup without one and was told it wasn’t eligible for the game.
