It’s been more than a year since Selling Sunset season 8 introduced us to real estate agent Alanna Gold. Now, the show’s ninth season, which premieres on October 29, is adding a brand new cast member into the mix: Oppenheim Group agent Sandra Vergara. There’s a story behind her recognizable name—she’s related to Modern Family icon Sofia Vergara. As noted by Tudum, Sandra is Sofia’s “cousin and adoptive sister.” HuffPost previously shared that Sandra was adopted by her aunt, Sofia’s mom Margarita, “when she was just a month old,” after her own mother’s health deteriorated. “My mother, who was their mom’s sister, couldn’t raise me because she has emotional problems, so my aunt adopted me,” Sandra told the outlet.

Selling Sunset newbie Sandra Vergara is clearing the air after Chrishell Stause accused the newbie of keying her assistant’s car.
“I never keyed anybody’s car. Let’s set the record straight,” Sandra, 37, exclusively told Us Weekly ahead of season 9’s release on Wednesday, October 29. “I don’t want to bad mouth anybody because it’s against my preference in spiritual practices. I do not like to speak poorly about anybody.”
Despite not wanting to stir up drama, Sandra wanted to offer her side of the story. “I also don’t want to get in trouble. But her assistant used to be a neighbor of mine and this neighbor was a very problematic person,” the real estate agent claimed. “She was very difficult and somebody keyed her car.So she just blamed it on me. I actually have an idea of who could have been but I have nothing to do with it.”
