Projected Lineup: October 25 at Dallas
Nadeau set to make season debut as part of the team's make-do cast
DALLAS – The Carolina Hurricanes will be down six lineup mainstays on Saturday, when they close out their six-game road trip against the Dallas Stars.
Losing William Carrier, K'Andre Miller, and Eric Robinson in Thursday's shootout win over Colorado, the trio joins Shayne Gostisbehere, Pyotr Kochetkov, and Jaccob Slavin, who are now on injured reserve.
“It’s tough because no one is going to feel sorry for you. (The players we do have) They're going to give you their best," Brind'Amour said after his team improved to 6-1. "It puts you at a real tough disadvantage, especially with the blue line being down, that’s really, really tough on the guys, but I know we’re going to give it our best, that’s for sure.”

The question is how many players will the Canes sit Saturday
On the last Saturday Night of the North Carolina State Fair, the Carolina Hurricanes will travel into Dallas to play the last game of the yearly road trip it causes. It’s the first of two anticipated meetings between the teams, although the second one might be a little more hyped.
The Canes come into Dallas fresh off their thrilling 5-4 shootout win of Colorado but banged up. They entered the trip without Jaccob Slavin and Pyotr Kochetkov, and in the process they’ve also lost Shane Gostisbehere, K’Andre Miller, Eric Robinson, and William Carrier. If you’re keeping track that three starting defensemen, three forwards, and one goalie. All will likely be waiting for the Canes back in Raleigh but how long they will all be out is up in the air.

Hurricanes at Stars: How to watch, odds and game thread
It’s one last game day on the road before the Carolina Hurricanes finally come home, and it’s yet another big one. The Canes face off tonight against the Dallas Stars—another team thought to be in contention for the Stanley Cup and showing just how serious they are by changing coaches in the offseason despite their playoff runs the last few seasons.
The thing that may be the most anticipated about tonight isn’t the return of Logan Stankoven to Dallas, and it isn’t really even how the team responds to playing against their former short-term teammate Mikko Rantanen for the first time this year. It’s going to be that thanks to several injuries, the Hurricanes have called up star prospect Bradly Nadeau. Nadeau was a difficult cut out of camp, and in pervious seasons he would have been like Seth Jarvis and Jackson Blake—the young player who played well enough to earn a regular shot. Thanks to finally having some cap room, though, the Canes just were too deep to justify keeping Nadeau as a healthy scratch into the season. The decision was made to get him real playing experience in Chicago.
