Whatever you may believe about a weakling Helldivers 2 grunt, it's undeniable that the shooter's fans are dedicated. Right now, a delay is keeping them from receiving the optimization patch they've waited almost over a year for, but Helldivers 2 fans are mostly just relieved that they know about it. An empathetic dictator, Arrowhead recognizes this and appreciates it.
There will be no mutiny in Super Earth. In a Reddit post explaining the "last-minute" certification problem that caused its patch delay, Arrowhead thanks players "for your patience and unwavering commitment to Managed Democracy. Your courage and restraint from calling in orbital strikes over patch delay, keeps the galaxy free. For Freedom!"
New Helldivers 2 Patch Buffs Weapons and Squashes Bugs
Helldivers 2 has just released its 4.1.0 patch, bringing an onslaught of improvements to the game ranging from substantial weapon and equipment buffs to much-needed bug fixes. Helldivers 2 has enjoyed a rather impressive resurgence since it came to Xbox consoles a few months ago, being the fourth best-selling game on the Xbox storefront in the month of September according to industry analyst Mat Piscatella.
September also saw the release of Helldivers 2's Into the Unjust season, which added Terminid-infested caves, a new species of enemy bugs, and a new premium Warbond packed with powerful weapons. Despite the wealth of new content, Helldivers 2's Into the Unjust update was met with a mixed reception at launch, primarily due to the noticeable technical issues it introduced, such as severe FPS drops, audio glitches, and even an increased likelihood of hard crashes.

Arrowhead need just a smidge more time for that next Helldivers 2 patch, promises a healthy suite of optimisations
You might be currently wondering where the latest Helldivers 2 patch is, seeing as it hasn't turned up yet, and to explain its absence developer Arrowhead have taken to the game's Witter account with a post going into some details about it. Apparently it was originally planned for Tuesday, i.e. yesterday, October 21st, but a "last-minute certification issue caused a delay."
As a result, the studio is currently aiming for a release by the end of the week, with "staff ready to work over the weekend if needed." On that point, hope you pay good overtime and will give said staff members time off in kind, Arrowhead! However, you also shouldn't hold them to it, as they also say there's a chance the issue won't be fixed by this Friday, meaning the patch could be delayed even further into next week. "We’re doing everything we can to deliver it this week and will provide an update on Friday either way. Thanks for your patience and understanding," explains Arrowhead.
