When We Were Young Festival: Veeps.com Backstage Live Stream 10/18-19
This coming weekend, the When We Were Young Festival returns to the Las Vegas Festival Grounds for a pair of one-day mega-fests packed to the gills with big names of the alternative/punk community.
The nostalgic festival has become an institution in recent years, helping to fill the void created after the Vans Warped Tour ceased to be a yearly touring spectacle.
This year’s WWWY features headliners Panic! at the Disco, Blink-182, Weezer, Avril Lavigne, The Offspring and may more — and the Veeps.com platform will host a special live stream event each day of the weekend.
In focus will be official backstage interviews and footage, curated by Alternative Press, Revolver, and BrooklynVegan on-site in Vegas and featuring interviews with artists, music videos and more.
WWWY 2025 announces set times, Drain added to fest as Sleeping With Sirens & Never Shout Never exit
The 2025 When We Were Young festival has released its official schedule, as well as announced some last-minute changes to its lineup.
Sleeping With Sirens and Never Shout Never are no longer slated to play at WWWY 2025 next weekend. In their place will be NorCal hardcore band Drain and Michigan post-hardcore outfit Chiodos, the latter addition being one we previously reported on. Drain will be playing on the Allianz stage at 1:35 p.m. on Saturday, October 18th and Sunday, October 19th, while Chiodos will be playing on that very same stage at 6:15 p.m. both days.
Confirmation that Sleeping With Sirens will no longer be at WWWY this year comes shortly after the Orlando metalcore act canceled their entire fall tour due to heath issues affecting lead vocalist Kellin Quinn's wife. Meanwhile, Never Shout Never's Christofer Drew previously announced on social media that he would have to back out of the festival due to a mouth infection requiring extensive dental work.

Taking Back Sunday Perform With John Nolan and Fred Mascherino at When We Were Young
Taking Back Sunday delivered a major moment at When We Were Young Fest 2025, bringing both John Nolan and Fred Mascherino onstage to perform together. The reunion followed the band’s summer announcement that Nolan would step back from touring, with Mascherino—who played with the group from 2003 to 2007—returning to fill in for their co-headlining tour with Coheed And Cambria.
Limited edition, printed-on-demand. Designed by Beepus (Beauty School Dropout) with creative direction from The Paradox.
A collaboration capturing the energy of their debut EP NSFW and the future of alternative music.
In a seven-minute video released earlier this year, the band shared that the arrangement evolved naturally after Mascherino rejoined them for their 2024 holiday shows. “It could be something where it’s not just he’s stepping in for me,” Nolan said, “but that for the first time, we’re all playing a set together.”
