Florida football freshman receivers Vernell Brown III and Dallas Wilson both enrolled at UF last January as top 100 national recruits eager to make an impact.
Wilson's 10-catch, 195-yard performance in the spring game for the Florida Gators opened eyes, but a leg injury in fall camp curtailed his debut until a month into the season.
Brown III won a starting job out of fall camp and quickly established himself as a go-to target in UF's offense.
Wilson and Brown took the field for the first time together as Gators on Oct. 4 against Texas and provided the kind of offensive spark that UF was hoping for. Wilson had six catches for 111 yards and 2 TDs in his UF debut, while Brown had three catches for 72 yards, including a contested 60-yard grab over the middle of the field.
