Main Street Sports Group, operating as FanDuel Sports Network, the largest holder of local sports media rights, announced that the Columbus Blue Jackets and Minnesota Wild extended their rights agreement with the network.
The extensions build on the growth and innovation for FanDuel Sports Network. The local rightsholder drove incremental subscribers with its direct-to-consumer product offering, saw over 1.5 million nightly viewers during the 2025 MLB season, and recently secured continued distribution through Comcast.
“We’re excited to be deepening our relationships with the Blue Jackets and Wild, continuing to provide hometown fans the access and coverage they know and love,” says David DeVoe, President of Main Street Sports Group. “These agreements further validate FanDuel Sports Network’s position as the industry’s leader in local sports, combining scale, innovation, and fan-first accessibility to deliver unmatched value to teams, leagues, partners and fans.”

Wild, Blue Jackets re-up with FanDuel Sports Network
The Wild and Blue Jackets have each signed short-term extensions of their local media rights agreements with Main Street Sports Group, the owner of the FanDuel Sports Network group of regional sports networks. The renewals to remain on FDSN buck a trend in the NHL that has seen teams such as the Lightning, Panthers and Stars leave the countryâs largest RSN group in favor of either over-the-air broadcast or streaming options. The length and value of the renewals were not disclosed.
âWeâre trying to optimize revenue and audience,â Wild CRO Mitch Helgerson told SBJ. âWhile the audience has changed and shifted within the local RSN model, in Minnesota and with hockey fans, theyâre still there. … And the economics are still better in this model than they are in any other model that weâve been able to find.â
