Matchday Guide: LA Galaxy vs Toluca FC | October 1, 2025
As the reigning MLS Cup champions, the LA Galaxy will host Campeon de Campeones winners Deportivo Toluca in the 2025 Michelob ULTRA Campeones Cup on Wednesday, Oct. 1 (7:30 p.m. PT) at Dignity Health Sports Park. The match will be streamed globally on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and broadcast on TelevisaUnivision (TUDN) in Mexico.
In its seventh edition, the Michelob ULTRA Campeones Cup will feature the reigning 2024 MLS Cup champion, the LA Galaxy, who will look to become the first MLS club in California to lift the Campeones Cup trophy. The LA Galaxy will host Toluca, who defeated Club America 3-1 in the Campeón de Campeones match on July 20 at Dignity Health Sports Park. MLS and LIGA MX are even with three wins a piece in Campeones Cup history, with Club America most recently defeating the Columbus Crew 5-4 in penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation. The LA Galaxy will aim to return championship bragging rights back to MLS for the first time since 2022.

The LA Galaxy have one more chance to add silverware this year when they host Toluca FC in Wednesday's 2025 Michelob Ultra Campeones Cup (10:30 pm ET | MLS Season Pass, Apple TV+, TUDN).
The annual showdown pits the reigning MLS Cup and LIGA MX champions in a single-match final, with a trophy and bragging rights on the line.
After mounting an impressive run against Mexican opposition in Leagues Cup 2025, where they finished third to clinch a 2026 Concacaf Champions Cup spot, head coach Greg Vanney expects his side will be up for the challenge at Dignity Health Sports Park.
"I think it's that, in a season that kind of got lost in the first half – I think the second half of the season has been solid, we've been much more stable, we had a great run in Leagues Cup," Vanney said at Tuesday's Matchday-1 press conference. "Performances and results have been much more stable, and I think this is just an opportunity, again, for us to take something out of this season.
