Jinkx Monsoon Sold Out Her Entire Oh, Mary! Run, And More From Last Week's Broadway Grosses
The two-time RuPaul's Drag Race winner's final week in Cole Escola's hit comedy saw the highest box office in months.
We may have to permanently replace "two-time Drag Race winner" with "bonafide Broadway star" as the preeminent descriptor for Jinkx Monsoon in our ongoing coverage. The drag superstar has continued to prove herself a reliable box office booster, first with two stints as Matron "Mama" Morton in Chicago, an originating role in Pirates!, and, now, Oh, Mary!. Monsoon finished a limited run in Cole Escola's hit comedy September 28 at the Lyceum Theatre, and we now know that entire stint was sold out. And further more, by the final week, Monsoon had ballooned the average ticket price to $185 and brought in the production's highest gross since Tony-winning original star and playwright Escola played their final performance in June.
New casting set for 'Oh, Mary!' on Broadway
Two returning cast members will play a limited run starting in September, and two new actors will join Jane Krakowski in the show from October.
Four new cast members have been named for Oh, Mary! on Broadway, joining the company at the Lyceum Theatre later this fall.
Original cast member James Scully and former cast member Phillip James Brannon will return to the roles of Mary’s Teacher and Mary’s Husband, respectively, from September 30 to October 12. They will star opposite the previously announced Hannah Solow as Mary.
Beginning October 14, Cheyenne Jackson and Tony Award nominee John-Andrew Morrison will play Mary’s Teacher and Mary’s Husband, respectively. They will star opposite the previously announced Emmy Award nominee and Tony winner Jane Krakowski as Mary.

Beginning tonight, September 30, original cast member Hannah Solow will take over the role of “Mary Todd Lincoln” in the Tony Award-winning hit comedy Oh, Mary!
Solow, who has been the ‘Mary Todd Lincoln’ standby since the 2024 Off-Broadway run at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, will star in the title role for performances Tuesday, September 30 through Sunday, October 12, 2025.
