First Alert: Rounds of rain, storms expected through Charlotte Metro into the weekend
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – Temperatures will range from the low 70s in the mountains, the low 80s in the foothills, the upper 80s in the piedmont, and the low 90s in the sandhills today! All thanks to morning rain and clouds that moved over our northwest counties.
Later today, a few more storms will move in out of the west and an isolated severe storm is possible. Damaging wind gusts will be the main concern with any storm that is able to intensify.
Rounds of rain will carry through the morning commute on Friday and again into Saturday morning.

There's an increased chance for isolated severe storms and a low end flash flood risk Thursday for parts of the Southeast, including Western North Carolina which is still recovering from Hurricane Helene last year.
