Flags lowered in Virginia in honor of late Delegate Cox

RICHMOND, Va. (WDBJ) – Flags are being lowered across the Commonwealth Tuesday in honor of former Delegate John Cox (R-55), who passed away August 28.

Cox served in the House of Delegates for four years, 2010-2014.

In accordance with the authority vested in me as Governor, I hereby order that the flags of the United States of America and the Commonwealth of Virginia be flown at half-staff on all state and local buildings and grounds in the Commonwealth in memory and respect of The Honorable John Alfred Cox, former member of the Virginia House of Delegates, who faithfully represented the 55th District from 2010 to 2014 and dedicated his life to serving his community and the Commonwealth.

(WSET) — Governor Glenn Youngkin issued a flag order on Monday in honor of the Honorable John Alfred Cox, a former member of the Virginia House of Delegates.

Youngkin ordered that the flags shall be lowered at sunrise on Tuesday and remain at half-staff until sunset.
