N.Y. Lottery: Man wins $1M scratch-off prize; here’s how much lump-sum payout was
An Oswego County man made a life-changing purchase, winning a top prize in the New York Lottery’s Millionaire Maker scratch-off game, lottery officials announced.
Daniel Phillips of West Monroe claimed the $1 million prize and opted to receive a one-time lump sum payment totaling $651,000, after required withholdings, according to officials.
The winning ticket was purchased at Kinney Drugs, located at 9543 US Route 11 in Brewerton, New York.
Brewerton is located in Central New York, near the border of Oswego and Onondaga counties.
As of this writing, five $1 million prizes remain on the Millionaire Maker scratch-off game. Valid lower-tier prizes may be claimed until the game’s expiration date. The top prize was $1 million. The odds of winning this top prize were 1 in 3.9 million, according to the New York Lottery. Tickets for this game were $20 each.

An East Northport resident has collected a $1 million prize from the New York Lottery’s "$1,000,000 Gold" scratch-off game.
Francis Cangemi received a single lump-sum payment totaling $670,000, after required withholdings. Cangemi purchased the winning ticket at Half Off Cards of Selden, at 49 College Plaza, Lottery officials said on their website.
Half Off Cards took to social media to proclaim the victor's prize, with a banner saying "Top prize winner sold here!"
Three $1 million prizes remain to be claimed on the "$1,000,000 Gold" ticket, which costs $5 to purchase, according to the state's website. Players may check the status of any New York Lottery scratch-off game by downloading the Game Report here.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Half Off Cards of Selden, located at 49 College Plaza, between Shoprire and Duck Donuts. As of now, three $1 million prizes remain on the $1,000,000 Gold ticket.
The store has hyped the big win on its TikTok account.
