Ferran Torres praised Hansi Flick's half-time tactical adjustments as Barcelona produced a brilliant comeback to come from two goals down to beat Levante 3-2 at the Ciutat de Valencia in LaLiga on Saturday.

Flick had handed a first start to summer signing Marcus Rashford, with Raphinha moved centrally and Marc Casadó picked alongside Pedri in place of the absent Frenkie de Jong.

Barcelona stage comeback to beat Levante 3-2 in Marcus Rashford’s first start

Barcelona came from two goals down to win 3-2 draw at newly-promoted Levante in Saturday evening’s see-saw La Liga clash — with the winner coming in the 92nd minute when home defender Unai Elgezabal headed Lamine Yamal’s cross to his own net.

Marcus Rashford made his full La Liga debut, but the on-loan from Manchester United man was removed at the break with Barca two goals down after a horrorshow first half when a well-organised Levante attack regularly exploited Barca’s malfunctioning offside trap.

It was 1-0 after fifteen minutes when a sweeping move was excellently finished by Ivan Romero. Just before the break another counter caused chaos in the visiting defence, and a penalty awarded for a handball by Alejandro Balde which was converted by Jose Luis Morales for 2-0.

‘Explain It’—Pedri Uses Real Madrid Example to Question Barcelona’s Penalty Controversy

Barcelona midfielder Pedri called on Spain’s soccer authorities to “explain it properly” after questioning why a penalty was awarded against the Catalans for handball during Saturday’s dramatic 3–2 comeback win over Levante.

Barça, having conceded early in the match, trailed by two goals right before halftime when Levante winger José Luis Morales converted from the penalty spot.

It was awarded following a VAR review, when the ball struck the arm of Barcelona defender Alejandro Balde from a Morales shot. The call was controversial, given the position of Balde’s arm by his body. Sitting in a broadcast studio for COPE, Antonio Mateu Lahoz, the retired 15-year veteran of La Liga refereeing, concluded: “It’s not a penalty, Balde can’t pull his hand out.”
