No. 2 Women's Volleyball Opens Season with AVCA First Serve
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- No. 2 Penn State Women's Volleyball, the defending NCAA Division I champion, opens the 2025 season with a pair of matches at the AVCA First Serve. The Nittany Lions play No. 12 Creighton at 5 p.m. ET on Saturday at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska. They then make the trip to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to take on No. 14 Kansas on Monday at 6:30 p.m. ET at the Sanford Pentagon.
Saturday's match against Creighton, a rematch of last year's NCAA Regional Final at Rec Hall, will air on FS1, while Monday's match against Kansas is scheduled for B1G Network.

"I was so happy that my entire family was there, the five (graduating) seniors and the coaching staff to just rehash stories of the Final Four and just the season," Schumacher-Cawley recalled to USA TODAY Sports on Wednesday, referring to graduates Jess Mruzik, Taylor Trammell, Camryn Hannah, Anjelina Starck and Quinn Menger. "When the season ended in December, all the seniors were done and kind of went their own way. So for us to get back together and to enjoy some time, it was so special and it was something that I'll never forget."
