The 2025 Little League World Series is here — with some of the best young baseball and softball players in the country.
The Little League Baseball World Series (LLBWS) and the Little League Softball World Series (LLSWS) will showcase a field of 20 and 12 teams, respectively.
ESPN's coverage of Little League Baseball began July 31 with the United States regional tournaments, while Little League Softball regional tournament coverage began July 5.
The LLSWS tournament in Greenville, North Carolina, kicked off Aug. 3 and finished on Aug. 10 when the Mid-Atlantic's team out of Johnstown, Pennsylvania, won the championship. Meanwhile, with each regions champion now crowned, the LLBWS tournament in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, starts Aug. 13 and is capped with the United States and International finals on Aug. 23 and the LLBWS championship game on Aug. 24.

On Monday night, Connecticut's Fairfield squad kept its Little League World Series dream alive by defeating Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Connecticut's offense scored 10 runs in the sixth inning on Monday night to put the finishing touches on a 13-1 victory over South Dakota. Their sixth-inning surge was anchored by Tommy D’Amura and Jimmy Taxiltaridis. Right-hander Luca Pellegrini, meanwhile, pitched extremely well for Fairfield, striking out six batters and giving up one run on two hits.
"It was great because we had great pitching by Luca," D'Amura told ESPN, via CT Insider. "And I just felt like my swing was on point today and I had a great day in the cage, so everything worked. It's just awesome how everyone can hit and just stay on track."

TODAY: Summerlin South faces Metro for shot at US Little League title

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Summerlin South took the field on Wednesday for a shot at playing for the national title.
The Summerlin South All-Stars faced Metro Region champion Fairfield National (Connecticut) in the 2025 Little League World Series.
Metro will advance to play in the U.S. championship game on Saturday, Aug. 23.
Summerlin South will head to an elimination game on Thursday, Aug. 21, where they will play the winner of Sioux Falls (South Dakota) and Irmo (South Carolina).
