Is there a new 'South Park' episode? Here's when episode 6 will finally release
Several weeks ago, "South Park" creators Trey Park and Matt Stone missed their deadline to turn in episode 5 of season 27, causing the bi-weekly schedule they recently announced to be significantly skewed.
Due to the missed deadline, there was no new episode last week on Wednesday, Oct. 1, but that means there's also no new episode tonight, Oct. 8.
All because Parker and Stone admittedly create each episode at the last minute in order to stay as topical as possible.
Here's everything we know about "South Park" Season 27, Episode 6 so far, including when it will air.
Episode 6 of "South Park" season 27 will air Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 10 p.m. Arizona time on Comedy Central.
'South Park' new episode date and schedule rest of season
Fans tuning in for a new episode of "South Park" this week will have to wait a little longer. The long-running animated comedy will now release new episodes of Season 27 every other Wednesday instead of weekly, Comedy Central announced.
The show’s creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, reportedly decided on the biweekly schedule to allow more time for production on the remaining episodes.
Under the adjusted schedule, this is how the rest of the episodes release dates look like:
New episodes continue to premiere on Comedy Central and stream the following day on Paramount+.
Season 27 has focused heavily on the political landscape, with Parker and Stone satirizing Donald Trump’s presidency and his supporters since the season premiered earlier this year.

How to watch ‘South Park’ Season 27 new episode for free without cable
Since its Season 27 return on July 23, “South Park” has followed an inconsistent release schedule. The most recent episode aired on September 24, after a one-week delay on top of their already established bi-weekly schedule.
This delay occurred amidst the whirlwind of news around Charlie Kirk’s death, Jimmy Kimmel’s temporary suspension from ABC and President Donald Trump’s commentary on all of it. But showrunners Matt Stone and Trey Parker have insisted the episode’s delay was due only to their own inability to get it done in time, not due to censorship.
Now, Stone and Parker have added another extension for Episode 6, which will air on Wednesday, October 15 (10/15/2025), at 10 p.m. ET on Comedy Central.
