Set Your Campfire Ablaze with the Pouch of Violet Dust!
Players can collect and use an ephemeral new launch-celebration toy to enhance their campfire and spread the benefits of camaraderie as they begin their journey through Azeroth in World of Warcraft: Forever.
Watch any eligible World of Warcraft stream on Twitch.tv from November 4 at 4:30 pm PST to November 12 at 4:30 pm PST to claim the Pouch of Violet Dust Toy. This ephemeral item is available only within WoW: Forever and can only be used during the “WoW: Forever Launch Celebration” event period, which expires in early December. After that point, the toy will be removed from players’ collections and will no longer be available in game.

World of Warcraft: Forever, Blizzard's expanded reimagining of the MMO as it was in 2004, works incredibly well as a nostalgia play. If you're a player who was there at the time, but has maybe drifted away from the game since, it's a perfect excuse to go and live fond memories.
But the game has fired the public imagination to an extent that it seems likely to attract other kinds of players as well. According to Blizzard, "tens of thousands" of players who were completely new to WoW played the beta, and indeed there are several reasons why Forever might be appealing to noobs: it's got official controller support, a friendlier, modernized interface and online structure, and a permanent level cap that promises to abolish MMO catch-up anxiety for good.
