Cardinals agree to trade Marvin Harrison Jr. to Texans
The Texans got a win on Sunday, and then they got a new receiver.
Via multiple reports, the Cardinals have agreed to trade receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. to the Texans.
Arizona will get a second-round pick in 2027 and a sixth-round pick in 2027. The Texans get Harrison and a seventh-round pick in 2027.
The Texans were always the team that was most closely linked to Harrison. It was believed that the Cardinals waited to do the deal in an effort to get a little more for him.
And it’s possible that the Texans finally got it done in order to prevent another team swooping from in, in the event of an injury over the balance of the Week 5 games.
Reports: Cardinals Readying To Trade Marvin Harrison Jr.
As the Cardinals got ready to play the Lions on Sunday, multiple reports on Saturday said the team will be trading wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.
NFL Network reported Harrison will be inactive for Sunday's game at State Farm Stadium.
UPDATE: Multiple reports on Sunday have said the trade will go through with the Texans, with ESPN reporting the Cardinals will get a 2027 second-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round pick for Harrison and a 2027 seventh-round pick.
Harrison has five catches on 12 targets for 85 yards and a touchdown through four games this season. His role has shrunk since the arrival of new coach Mike LaFleur; regardless of the offense, the Cardinals have never found a way to find a way to mesh both Harrison and fellow wide receiver Michael Wilson together. If one was involved in the offense, the other was not.
