Law enforcement officers met an American Airlines flight upon its arrival at Miami International Airport late Friday night following reports of a female passenger undressing and behaving indecently mid-flight.
American Airlines Flight 1779 departed Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) just after 9 p.m. EDT on Friday, Sept. 11, 2025, nearly two hours behind its scheduled departure time, according to public flight-tracking data. The flight landed in Miami at approximately 11:23 p.m. EDT.
Pilots of AA1779 reported a passenger in seat 9D undressed herself and acted indecently in view of nearby PAX
MIAMI — American Airlines Flight AA1779, operated by an Airbus A319 (registration N737US), departed Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) at 8:45 p.m. EDT on Friday, September 11, 2026 nearly an hour and a half behind its scheduled 7:10 p.m. departure time.
The flight was cruising at an altitude of 38,000 feet when flight attendants alerted the cockpit crew to an escalating situation in the front right section of the cabin.
According to Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) logs transmitted during the flight, the flight’s lead attendant reported that a female passenger seated in row 9, had completely undressed herself and began engaging in explicit, indecent acts in full view of nearby passengers.

A woman was taken into custody by law enforcement in Miami after she allegedly undressed on her flight and began acting indecently.
The flight, American Airlines 1779, departed Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport just after 9 p.m. on Friday and landed in Miami around 11:23 p.m.
At some point during the flight, a flight attendant notified the cockpit that a passenger in seat 9D had stripped naked and was engaging in indecent acts in front of passengers, Fox News reports.
