Victor Wembanyama has been dethroned as NBA's tallest player
The Los Angeles Clippers have decided to counter San Antonio Spurs' 7'4" star Victor Wembanyama with their own towering big man. Sort of. Sharp, who stands at 7'5", is now the NBA's tallest active player.
The news of Sharp signing a two-way contract, which will allow him to spend time with the Clippers and their G League affiliate, the San Diego Clippers, was detailed by Bleacher Report. It also cited that Sharp surpassed Wemby and Zach Edey (7'3") as the NBA's new tallest player.

Sharp, who will turn 25 in August, went undrafted out of Ole Miss in 2024 and has played primarily for the Texas Legends in the G League since then. The 7’5″ big man had a huge year for the Legends in 2025/26, earning a spot on the G League’s All-Defensive team and being named NBAGL Defensive Player of the Year after leading the league with 3.9 blocks per game.
