What to know on the NYC July 4 flyover show featuring the Blue Angels
A special aerial flyover show will take place in New York City this weekend, led by the U.S. Navy's Blue Angels.
The ceremonial salute — done for America's birthday — will feature aircraft not only from the United States, but allied countries over the New York Harbor.

The event is expected to bring in over 100 aircraft in total from across the globe in celebration of America's 250th.
All of the aircraft will be led by the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, one of the most notable demonstration squadron's in history. The show is a part of both Sail4th 250 and America250 celebrations.
Navy's Blue Angels roar into Republic for Jones Beach air show

The U.S. Navy Blue Angels loudly announced their arrival to Long Island on Wednesday, flying low with engines roaring above business parks and shopping malls on final approach before landing at East Farmingdale’s Republic Airport ahead of the FourLeaf Airshow at Jones Beach.
Hundreds of onlookers lined areas surrounding the airport, peering through chain-link fencing in many cases to get a glimpse of the Angels' gleaming navy blue F/A-18 Super Hornets with gold and yellow trim. Some marveled at the fighter jets as they completed a formation flyby and landed individually. Cameras and cellphones pointed to the sky to capture the moment for posterity.

The American Airpower Museum Warbirds to Participate in FourLeaf Air Show Activities
The American Airpower Museum in Farmingdale, NY, will once again send several of its historic warbirds to the FourLeaf Air Show at Jones Beach, where the aircraft are scheduled to take part in formation and aerial demonstration flights during the July 5-6 event. Aircraft expected to fly include the museum’s Douglas C-47B Skytrain, North American P-51D Mustang, Curtiss P-40M Warhawk “Flying Tiger,” Grumman TBM-3E Avenger, North American AT-6 Texans, and the museum’s WACO biplane. The museum, located at Republic Airport in Farmingdale, will also host a series of activities leading up to the air show. From July 1 through July 3, visitors will have opportunities to book flight experiences aboard the museum’s AT-6 Texan and WACO aircraft, while C-47 Skytrain flights are scheduled for July 3.
