Montgomery City/County EMA shares severe weather thoughts

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (WSFA) – The Montgomery City/County Emergency Management Agency is reminding people to be prepared for severe weather all year long, with the biggest concern currently being rain and flooding.

“Everybody in today’s world has a cell phone. Find a way that suits you to get alerts,” said Montgomery EMA Director Wade Lyles.

Lyles stresses that message while pointing towards recommendations of having supplies at home, as well as storing important documents together.

“Buy one item a month, one item a pay period, slowly build up towards that so that you can be prepared and if you can afford to do it all now, then yeah, get it all now,” said Lyles.
