What channel is Broncos vs Chargers on? Time, TV, streaming

The Denver Broncos control their destiny as they look to lock up the AFC’s top seed during the final week of the NFL season.

The Broncos (13-3) host the Los Angeles Chargers (11-5) on Sunday, Jan. 4 at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver. With a win, Denver locks up the No. 1 seed in the playoffs. The Broncos could still end up there with a loss or tie if it gets some help from the Tennessee Titans and Miami Dolphins against the Jacksonville Jaguars and New England Patriots, respectively.

A win would also give the Broncos their best regular season record since 1998, Denver locked up the AFC West — and a guaranteed top three seed — with a 20-13 win at Kansas City on Dec. 25 and the Chargers’ 20-16 loss to Houston on Dec. 27.

Chargers vs. Broncos: How to watch, game time, TV schedule, streaming, and more

It’s the regular season finale for the Chargers as they are in Denver today to face the Broncos. Justin Herbert and a host of starters will not be playing as they prep for their wild card matchup a week from now. In his place, Trey Lance will get the start while many other backups will also see an opportunity to show that they should be a part of the team’s future plans in 2026 and beyond.

There’s unfortunately nothing on the line this week aside from bragging rights and the chance at sweeping the division, but the Chargers’ plans shows they don’t care to try for the latter. Unfortunate, but it’s the smart thing to do.

Predicting the score for Broncos' final game of the regular season

After starting their campaign with a 13-3 record, the Denver Broncos have one game remaining on their 2025 schedule.

Last year, the Broncos went 10-7 in coach Sean Payton's second season, reaching the NFL playoffs for the first time since the team won Super Bowl 50 following the 2015 campaign. Payton's squad has now clinched another playoff berth — and they have aspirations to go much further than the Wild Card round this time.

Denver's 2025 schedule included five nationally-televised games, including a Christmas Day showdown with the division rival Kansas City Chiefs last week. With playoff seeding implications on the line, here is our score prediction for the team's regular season finale against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 18.
